I have, through 71 years of observation and experience, gained some perspective on the human condition. Considering today’s nihilistic background, I find investigating and expressing emotion and meaning – while avoiding the banal, obvious, kitsch, sociopolitical and shock for the sake of shock – interesting and challenging. These works offer a two-fold experience: one that evidences the painter’s state of mind, and encourages the viewer to consider and seek their own point-of-view.
