Unity in art allows us to communicate our thoughts using a common visual language using standard elements- color, line, shape, form, and texture. Artists use it to visually tie together these principles within their composition. It gives us, as the viewer, a feeling of cohesion where it connects these elements and helps us make sense of the work as complete – delivering an understanding of harmony and balance. Here in UNITY, we see these examples as well as the lovely notion of unity as the quality of being one in spirit and purpose.
